Privacy
The short version
We keep your Trackmania account ID, the Discord name you type in, and the date you signed up. Your Discord name is never shown on the site, we do not sell anything to anyone, and you can delete your registration yourself whenever you like.
The rest of this page is the detail behind that.
What we collect
When you register for the CartaTM Wedding Cup, we collect:
- Your Trackmania account ID
- Your Discord username
- Your registration date
Your account ID comes from signing in with Trackmania. You type your Discord name in yourself, and the organisers use it to get hold of you about the Cup.
Signing in also tells us your display name, and we look up your country from your Trackmania profile. Both are already public, and we use them to show you on the leaderboards and the entrants list. You sign in on Ubisoft’s own site, so we never see your password.
We do not collect any other information from your Trackmania account.
We also read your times on the qualifier maps from the public Trackmania leaderboards, so the competition can be scored.
How we use your information
So we know who has entered and who is eligible for the final, and so we can get in touch about the Cup if we need to.
Our lawful basis for this is legitimate interests — ours in running a competition, and yours in entering one.
What is public
Your Trackmania display name, country, times, points, positions, rankings and competition results may be displayed publicly on the website.
Your account ID, your Discord name and the date you registered are never shown on the site. Only the competition organisers can see them.
Where your information is stored
Your registration is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database, and only the competition organisers can get at it.
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising or unrelated purposes.
Cloudflare provides the hosting and database infrastructure for the website. Trackmania/Ubisoft handles the account sign-in on its own website and has its own privacy policy.
The database is located in Western Europe. Cloudflare is a United States company with a global network, so your information may also be processed elsewhere as part of running the service, under Cloudflare’s own data processing terms.
The website may also use Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection and embed Twitch or YouTube content. These services may process technical information such as your IP address when their content or services are used.
Cookies
We set one cookie, and only while you are registering, so we can match your sign-in up when Trackmania sends you back. It is deleted as soon as you land back here.
We do not use our own analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Cloudflare Turnstile, Twitch and YouTube may set cookies of their own.
How long we keep your information
Your registration information is kept until 90 days after the competition ends, after which it is deleted.
Competition results may be kept indefinitely as a historical record of the event.
You do not have to wait for that, though. You can unregister from the registration page at any time, which deletes your registration straight away.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Provide a copy of the information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information where applicable
- Restrict or object to its processing
To make a request, contact privacy@cartatm.com. We will normally respond within one month.
If you think we have mishandled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Who is responsible for your information
The Cup is run by CartaTM, who decides what is collected and what happens to it — the data controller, in UK and EU terms.
Players register from all over the world, and we handle everyone’s information the same way, wherever you signed up from.
